Tips: How to stay ALERT if you're the lazy type to read and update your daily facts?

People normally dozed off a bit when it goes to updating their info or facts of the day. Not everyone is great to stay alert about everything. Sometimes they know, sometimes they didn't. But people surely not enjoy to ask questions. However, it feels awkward to stand without knowing the news, especially if you're reluctant to read. So, for those sloppy readers who wants to stay update among your circle but reading is not your cup, try this:

  • Read the headline of the news. Even you didn't get the whole crap of the story, at least you know a bit like "Three were killed in accident". Now you understand that three people had died in accident, right?
  • Use the power of listening when you buy groceries at the mall, having a pedestrian walk, window shopping or whenever you're at the outside. You don't have to ask people to tell you the story, they will indirectly feed you the news. All you have to do is listen.
  • Train yourself to become ventriloquist. Use the talent of asking without moving your lips when you got left behind in your group circle.
  • Follow the flow. Take a piece of the story from everyone. Now, you have a different kind of story-version and thumb's up to get into the conversation.
  • Don't laughed whenever you want. That will makes you look so damn-awkward in front of others. Observe the facial expression quietly.
  • Wide your eyes. There are so many information around you and to help you a bit in updating your knowledge of the day.
  • Hang around with talkative buddies. They will give you a lot of stories...a lot, more than you can imagine~
  • Make a good guess while in conversation. Good guess will help you to catch up the subject better and quickly.
  • Or, try to make a wrong guess. Your friends will correct you and give you the right facts. Then, they might add up more stories and Yahtzee!-- now you got the other news without subscribing the channel.
  • If you like, try to attend a group discussion. Not only you can get info about your work, you might get more individual stories from strong-will gossipers, creative chatters, annoying 'corrector' or trustworthy news feeder.
  • Sometimes, people's argument will enrich your knowledge. So, try to stay up and watch.

p/s: for those sloppy readers who read this, congratulations~ now, you're no longer sloppy. You read this, and you alert =)
