Leaders who tend to abuse: Why?

Leaders are the selected people to lead a group or association. They were the chosen one to plan, to decide and to stand up to all difficulties. However, back to the old times, there were so many barbaric leaders who enjoyed the bloody flesh, torturing, abusing and laughing to all kind of evil acts, treating those works as their hobby or the finest artwork. However, most of them (those sickening and mental leaders) were experienced the spiteful, bored, plain or depressing childhood. The painful memories while growing up had shaping their mind and influencing their decision making, to become the leaders who tend to abuse. Why? Actually, every people who grew up with too much of painful environment will be hurt so much that they couldn't accept their past, become so aggressive to any disagreement, always thinking of revenge, killing themselves or the worst of all, to attempt a murder. 

This is the list of example of leaders who experienced "the untold childhood".

Adolf Hitler (Nazi)

Hitler had a rough childhood who dreamed to become a painter. He had a strong will father who opposed his dream to become an artist. The death of his younger brother, Edmund deeply affected his mind and emotion.  Later, he was rejected by the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna because of his unfitness for painting or the truth was, he can't draw the face of human clearly and most of his painting had a blurring human face. He even got rejected in architecture study. After the second rejection, Hitler become so poor and lived at the homeless shelter. He was an antisemitism (which caused the gruesome legacy of the 'Holocaust') because of overrun immigrants of eastern Jew might seize his chance for foods and job, knew that his father's forefather is Jew and facing a hard time to accept his dream had blown away. That was how he began to dream to involved in a war and become a hero, a small piece of desire being 'someone important' and he was too hungered for world-attention.

Joseph Stalin (Stalinism)

Stalin had received some several cases of minor low self-esteem such as, having a permanent scar because of smallpox that happened when he was a kid, permanent left-arm damage in two horses carriage accident when he was twelve and unfit feeling with the imperialist and religious order, which caused him to rebel the scholarship from Georgian Orthodox seminary. He even got expelled, missing his final exam and the seminary record suggest that he was unable to pay his tuition fees (and few things that against the regulation). He had a fragile mind which caused him easily been influenced by Vladimir Lenin writings, joined the association and got mark by Tsar secret police. After involved in police cases, he began to work wild by doing extortion, ransom kidnapping, raising money from bank robberies, spreading propaganda and become the full time revolutionary. Then, the calling for the World War I took his interest to become an army but failed because of his left-arm damage, which make him indirectly feel offense. Later, he determined to be part of political world, as the best way to get involved in war and gained the attention.

Genghis Khan (Mongol Empire)

Genghis was born as Temujin, and his early life was difficult. He was sent to his future wife (the other tribe) at the age of nine and lived separately from his family. He had to bear a responsible in a very young age, and waiting to get an official marriage at the age of 12. Later, he got news about his father's death, poisoned by their old enemy of Tatars, and he can't accept the losing at first. Then, he returned to claim his father position but got rejected, which caused him the second frustration after losing his father. After his father's death, they faced a rough life without a protection. He even killed his half brother because of the hunting spoil,  scrambled for foods to live which caused him captured and held prisoner by his father former allies. He was being enslaved for several moment, before he got a help by a sympathetic guard and run away. Genghis grew up in a tough political stage, weather climate that caused the real starvation, received the interference forces by enemies and crime in his own land. Those pressures had put him to get into war with other land, looking for sources to live and kill for huge necessities..

Pol Pot (Khmer Rouge)

Pot, or Saloth Sar was born in a small fishing village and his father was a rice farmer, considered to be moderately wealthy at that time. He had a fair skin complexion, he had a good family, his cousin was part of Royal Ballet, his sister was a concubine for King Monivong and he gained a good scholarship which brought him to study at the foreign country, France. However, there were slightly parts in his life that makes him tried too much to change it. First, his fair complexion might be the problem, he might be dislike it. Second, his sister was concubine for a king, maybe he didn't like to accept that fact. Third, he received a good scholarship but the study didn't went so well. His academic record was so poor, he failed in exams, got rejected and sent back to Cambodia. While studying, he got attracted by anti-colonialism idea, revolution party and guerrilla stuff which he thought that might be the stage for him to shine, being great and doing better than studying radio electronics. Later, he got addicted about hating Westerners, religious groups and intellectual people who against his ideas.

Ivan IV- The Terrible (Tsar of All the Russias)

Ivan was born in a great environment. He was Grand Prince of Moscow, born with intelligent brain, an able diplomat, a patron of trade and arts, the founder of Russia's first Print Yard, changing his country to become a multiethnic, medieval state to empire and had a long reign. However, he had a very complex personality; he killed his groomer and his son, paranoiac suspiciousness, and cruel persecution of the nobility. He had a serious business by beat his daughter in law for wearing immodest clothing and makes her miscarriage and even fought with his son about the miscarriage things which killed his son, Ivan Ivanovich, the chosen heir. However, back to his childhood, he was left by his father who died from a boil and inflammation on his leg. Request by his father as to make him the Grand Prince, his mother acted as a regent but got assassinated by poison. He and his brother, Yuri had been neglected and abandoned by his father and mother's families in a very young age which leads him to lived and grew up in suspicious, worrying, terrifying with other people, and revenge. His spiteful manner become worse when his first wife, Anastasia Romanovna got poisoned which deeply affected him and betrayed by his advisor which caused the devastation of Russia region (he got more suspicious and paranoid about trusting people).


Mao Tse-Tung/Mao Zedong (Communist Party)

Mao had a difficult life when he was a young boy. He had a stern disciplinary father which was largely irreligious, often got beaten by his father, and lived in poverty. He was believe in Buddha at first but abandoned his faith in his mid teenage years. He was forced to learn Confucius moral ideologies by his father and even tried to run but always found by his father. At the age of 13, he was forced to married a girl who four years older than him, Luo Yixiu to unite their land owning families, which against his will and he refused to accept her as his wife. He learned about political ideologies secretly, influenced a lot by the local and foreign books about remodeling the nation and got inspired. Later, he convinced his father to allow him to attend middle school at Changsha. However, his father opposed his intellectual pursuits, and cut off his expenses which makes him move away and leave his family. Most of his life was controlled and monitored by his father, and most of his life was been decided by his father's decision, that leads him to rebel, to seek his passion and dreams, and at the same time his father's stern disciplinary attitude becomes part of his behaviour too.

Vlad Dracul 'Dracula' the Impaler/Vlad Tepes (Prince of Wallachia)

Vlad Dracula, the notorious blood-thirsty ruthless and deranged prince from Hungary was born in a very religious Christianity who believed in God and his father was a member of the Order of the Dragon who protect Christianity in eastern Europe. He hated the Ottoman Empire very much because of the Ottoman conquest at Balkans. He was grew up to hate Islam, Ottoman and inspired by his father's struggle to secure the Christianity and also the Order of the Dragon. He had lived and educated well by his father until his life began to change when his father being ascended the throne of Wallachia and ousted by rival faction at Hungary. His father was secured by Ottoman support (he hates Ottoman, anyways), enraged silently when his father had to pay jizya (non-Muslim taxes to Sultan), sent by his father to Ottoman court as the hostages of the loyalty, his brother, Radu converted to Islam and joining Mehmed II. Later on, Radu being honoured by Ottoman Turks and Mehmed II become the Sultan. Vlad becomes too much ill in his mind when he knew that his father had betrayed the Oath of the Dragon, at the same time he had betrayed their religion, distrusting the Hungarians, envious by his brother's achievement (Radu becomes his father's preference) and hates to lived in Ottoman circle and the Islam community, which leads him to become wild, spiteful and completely insane.


Hirohito the Emperor Showa (Taisho Monarch/Showa Era)

Hirohito was a Japanese Prince for Taisho Monarch and lived in a very pleasant life. He had a good education, great family status, wealth and comfort. Grow up in such a plain and protocol life brought him a lot of responsibility and lived to expect the expectation. The responsibility and the expectation as the prince becomes higher when his father being affected by mental illness. Under his regency, there were several events occurred; receiving the agreement to terminate the Anglo-Japanese Alliance, devastated by the Great Kanto earthquakes, someone tried to assassinate him but failed and received the reign in financial crisis background. Feel pressure by those forces, he began to dreamed about the modern country of Japan, the great Asian country in Asia, and inspired by the other big countries resourcefulness in technology, weaponry and financial. With those ambitions and pressures surrounded him, he agreed the invasion of China, and involvement in World War II.
