2013, one step ahead after the false story of doomsday. Let us begin this new year with lovely adventures. Why not? Having a trip is tremendously awesome, with the hot gaze of sunny eyes, the kiss of smoothy breeze and few swing of sandy beaches. Since I didn't go out really well at somewhere, I just know my birthplace quite well, so let's have a look what's best at these great places ^^
1. Annah Rais Longhouse
Located 60 km from Kuching City, Annah Rais Longhouse is the large and old Bidayuh tribe's longhouse for more than 80 families. The families are still living in traditional way. It also providing a homestay for guests and experienced the living longhouse's concept, learning their culture then jumped into the water.

2. Gading Mountain National Park, Lundu.
2 hours journey from Kuching, Gading Mountain is synonym with the wide bloom of rafflesia, the largest flower in the world. Besides, there are few waterfalls over there; clean, fresh and exciting. It is not hard to reach, I've been there once (school trip duh~). Surprisingly, I didn't see any wildlife there, excluding the bugs. The best part was, I can see the small rafflesia. What a peace and calm place to scream~

3. Fairy Cave, Bau
As sweet as its name, Fairy Cave is a limestone cave, situated at the area of Krokong Bau. For those who loved rock climbing, this is the right place for you! Plus, this place is ideal for photographer, you gonna love the 'stairways to heaven'. Don't forget to check it out.

4. Wind Cave, Bau
Once you know Fairy Cave, you'll know this windy cave. It has its circling cave, which is special and known as Bau Formation, used to be home-sweet-home for the ancient people, and you can feel the air smoothly in-and-out over your face. This is a very great place for family trip, learn the nature and have some sweats~

5. Semenggoh Wildlife
Do you know Sepilok at Sabah? Yeah, you know that...orang utan, which is no different than Semenggoh. 25 km from Kuching, Semenggoh is the center to rehabilitated and orphaned wild animals taken out from Sarawak jungle, and released back once they cured. The only different thing between Sepilok and Semenggoh is, Semenggoh is not a city zoo to showcasing wild animals in captivity.

6. Jong's Crocodile Farm
You like wearing Crocs? Or crocodile handbag? Maybe you love Crocodile brands? So, this place is worth for you to visit! Set out on the road to Serian, this is the right place for those who fascinated with the deeds of dinosaur. You can enjoy the jungle back-drop, tropical trees, some additional features of leopard cats, various deer, turtles etc, and some friendly monkey so be careful.

7. Talang Satang National Marine Park
The first Sarawak's marine park, I know you gonna like this place. Pulau Satang Besar, which is the largest island among the small islands (Talang Kecil, Talang Besar and Pulau Satang Kecil) is open for visitors. This place will remind you about Rantau Panjang at Terengganu, the conservation place for turtle hatchery. Oh yes, you can involve in diving and snorkeling at here.

8. Lakei Island
The pearl of Bako National Park, well-known place for tourists in and out of Malaysia, Lakei Island has more to offer to all photographers. The water is crystal clear, it makes you wanna jump into and swim under the sunlight. It provide places to stay in, the boat is available for some water-touring and of course, you will love the nature's background.

9. Ranchan Pool
I already mentioned about Matang center, Santubong beaches, Kubah National park area but this, Ranchan Pool is the other place, great for picnics, reunions and gathering with friends and families. It provides place to stay, common facilities such as toilet, shower rooms and canteens.

10. Tanjung Datu National Park
You loved free admission fee? You gotta be here. Located at south-western tip of Datu Peninsular, it has everything that the nature lover will like; white beaches, clear waters, forest covered hills, coral reefs and the living place for unusual flora and fauna. The best way to describe: this place is a very important reservoir of biodiversity.

11. Kuching Wetlands National Park
15 km from Kuching City, 5 km from Damai beach, Kuching Wetlands is heaven for wildlife, great place for eco-system lovers who fascinated with the extensive network of marine waterways. For more and deep experience, you can join the river road with tour operators; ride the river cruise and explore the park.

12. Kuching: The City Skyline Night View.
After a long journey into a great adventure, Kuching provides you the last card to flip; the night view of the city skyline. Riding exclusive cruises or perahu tambang (sampans), it gives you the last happy breath, enjoying the wonderful night scene over Kuching skyline and the bling-bling lights at Boyan Village. Or, you can sit and relax at the gazebo, having a cup of coffee at Khatulistiwa, and watching the glimmering vista at Malay restaurants over the river.
