Exclusive Shopping at Kuching

The public holiday season has arrived! Spending money with families at shopping complex could be the best treatment for everyone. Kuching, the big city of Sarawak offers people an experience and wide-range products from local to outdoor. Although some of people are skeptical about living at Kuching, believe me, Kuching can fulfill your shopping experience till the last breath.

The Spring Mall

Located at Jalan Simpang 3 between Kuching City centre and International Airport. When it opened to the public in January 2008, The Spring was Kuching's largest shopping mall till 2013 when Boulevard Mall was completed. The Spring Mall has its differences, exciting and vibrant, based on the design of popular shopping malls in Australia and New Zealand. The RM150 million architectural project of the mall was designed by Warren & Mahoney, the strong influence of retail outlet concept in that country. It has a wide space of food bazaar (local food and international food), various kind of international brands, exclusive cinema, and obviously, this mall is full of space.

Located at 4th Mile, Kuching, 5 minutes from Kuching International Airport, the foreign visitors might consider to rent a car to come here. Eight cinemas will be expected from this mall and the whole development will be completed in 2014.

Plaza Merdeka

Part of the revitalization of Kuching's historic district, Plaza Merdeka is a new magnificent mall. It has transform the nostalgic town of Kuching into a premier tourist and retail area, within a classical building facade. It was designed by Yolanda David Reyes  (YDR Design Manila Philippines). Nearby is a bustling waterfront, China Town (Carpenter Street), India Street Pedestrian Mall, The Astana, the new DUN Sarawak building, Merdeka Palace Hotel and of course, the famous old building from Brooke's Dynasty.

The Hills

One of the best and exclusive mall to visit, The Hills got its name from its location at Bukit Mata Kuching. Situated at the heart of Kuching, this mall is home to a various international brand such as Esprit, Calvin Klein, Toy R Us, Sushi King and many more. With the symbol of four leaves of clover, The Hills is a good place to seek some luck!

City ONE Mega Mall

Located at Jalan Song-Jalan Tun Jugah intersection, City One is one of the best and biggest mall at Kuching and it offers people a variety of products catering to every whim and fancy. City One also known as The Bird Nest of Malaysia, according to its shape and being inspired by The Bird Nest of China (which is the Beijing National Stadium).  Besides, there is a sky-bridge connecting two mall buildings and 10 cineplex including 3D hall.
